DESCRIPTION:\n\nTHIS VISIT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Please 
 contact cpd25@london.ac.uk with any queries.\n\nThis event will be an oppo
 rtunity to hear about the range and scope of our civic engagement and outr
 each projects with the archival collections that we hold here at UEL.  Ov
 er the past several years we have undertaken projects looking at the life 
 histories of refugees in East London and the creation of the Living Refuge
 e Archive\; performance theatre based on archival narratives with our UG p
 erforming arts students\; working with the UEL OLIve course for refugees a
 nd asylum seekers\; ongoing co-productive work documenting the community h
 istory of North Woolwich and Silvertown\; and a Heritage Lottery Funded pr
 oject “Passing the Flame” documenting the inter-generational legacies 
 of the three London Olympics.\n\nThere will also be time to sample materia
 ls from our Archival Collections including the Refugee Council Archive\; H
 ackney Empire Theatre Archive\; Eastside Community Heritage Oral History A
 rchive and the British Olympic Association!  Listen to life histories\; e
