DESCRIPTION:Explore science\, life\, medicine and the arts\nThe Library at 
 the Wellcome Collection is one of the world’s major resources for the st
 udy of the social and cultural contexts of health and medicine. Collection
 s span life\, death and everything in between.\n\nThey have over 2 million
  items from an ancient Egyptian prescription to the papers of Francis Cric
 k\, from Red or Dead’s HIV/Aids awareness sandals to our new and growing
  zine collection.\n\nCollections also cover more than just books\, journal
 s\, archives and manuscripts: they also have a fantastic collection of art
 works\, audio and film collections. In addition to manuscripts and printed
  items from Asia and North Africa\, written in over forty separate languag
 es and many different scripts.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBookings for visits are open 
 to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.\n\nTo reserve
  a space please use our online booking form.\n\nIf\, subsequent to bookin
 g a place on a cpd25 visit\, you find that you are unable to attend\, we 
 ask that you let us know this as soon as possible. Cancellations received 
 less than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cance
 llation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day\, £25 will be cha
 rged.
