DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to visit a busy prison library in West London.\n
 \nThe Library at HMP Wormwood Scrubs provides a library and information se
 rvice to over 1\,250 prisoners and all grades of staff. The Librarian will
  give us a tour of the Library.\n\nThis general visit will provide inform
 ation on:\n\n 	Access for prisoners\n 	Book stock\n 	Legal information\, 
 budgets &amp\; procedures\n 	The effect of the prison regime on the libra
 ry service\n 	 General running of the library - day-to-day operation\, se
 curity implications etc.\n\nThis visit is free of charge. Bookings for vis
 its are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.\
 n\nVisitors will need photo ID (passport or driver’s licence) and will n
 eed to leave their mobile phones at the entrance as there are no staff lo
 ckers.\n\nIf\, subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit\, you find t
 hat you are unable to attend\, we ask that you let us know this as soon as
  possible. Cancellations received less than three working days before the 
 event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-sho
 w’ on the day\, £25 will be charged.\n\nThere were only 5 places avail
 able for this visit.  There are still a few spaces left.
