 Judy Barnett\n\nJudy Barnett has been committed to supporting the learning
  and development of others throughout her working life. She began her care
 er as a teacher of English and Drama in an Essex comprehensive for 2 years
 \, where she began to appreciate that variety in approaches to teaching an
 d learning was the key to success. Her 10 years spent teaching English as 
 a Foreign Language\, both in London and overseas\, enabled her to broaden 
 her range of approaches\, and to better understand the complexities and ch
 allenges of cross-cultural communication.\n\nShe then moved from a people 
 development role in local government to setting up the training and develo
 pment function at a new university. In 2002 she took over as manager of th
 e Staff Development Unit at a research-intensive London university\, where
  she has been responsible for provision of a wide range of leadership and 
 people development initiatives for academic\, administrative and research 
 staff. \n\nHer internal and external consultancy work throughout this time
  have focused on leadership development\, team-building and one-to-one sup
 port through coaching\, mentoring and action-learning set facilitation.\n\
 nShe is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (
 FCIPD) and a registered practitioner of the Myers Briggs Types Indicator. 
 She gained the ILM level 5 Diploma in Executive Coaching and Leadership Me
 ntoring in 2005.\n\nBooking Information:\nCost is £45 for CPD25 members a

 han one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In t
