Senior Academic Skills Advisor

Working within the Library Learning Support and Engagement (LLSE) team, you will coordinate and deliver a dynamic programme of academic and study skills support for undergraduate and postgraduate students across disciplines. This includes designing and facilitating workshops, group tutorials and one-to-one sessions, alongside developing high-quality online resources.

You will lead on planning the annual schedule of provision, working closely with academic schools to embed skills support within curricula and respond to evolving student needs. In addition, you will contribute to cross-university initiatives, support peer-led learning activities, and engage in projects that enhance student learning, including provision for distance and transnational learners.

Academic Skills and Engagement Officer

Working within the Library Learning Support and Engagement (LLSE) team, you will play an important role in enhancing how students engage with Library Services and the Academic Skills Centre. The role combines communications and engagement work with operational support, offering the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of student-facing activities and projects.

You will help promote library spaces, services and initiatives through digital content, marketing materials, events and social media, while also supporting the Academic Skills Centre through enquiry management, online learning resources and reporting activities. Working closely with colleagues across Library Services and the wider university, you will contribute to projects and initiatives that improve the student experience and support service development.
