Copyright for Repository Administrators: Open Access, Theses and GDPR [TG2/copy_repo]
Twitter: @cpd25_M25 – #cpd25
This event aims to showcase best practice in the handling of theses, especially when that content is transferred to an Open Access environment via the institutional repository. Our speakers will cover key considerations for copyright, data protection and communication with students.
With the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018 this event will offer an early opportunity to see how one leading institution approached data privacy and repository content in response to the law changes.
We will also see how the British Library’s EThOS service continues to grow and be relevant to a range of researchers, as well as learning about the new shared repository pilot project.
