This workshop provides an introduction to the growing area of digital knowledge and how we collect and access it nationally. It is aimed at students, researchers and librarians interested in digital scholarship and those wanting to learn how to navigate around this increasingly important world of digital resources.

14.00-14.45: British Library’s National Role in providing public access to digital knowledge:

14.45-15.15: Tea break
15.15-16.00: Mendeley – Digital Research Collaborative Platform and Tools … Origins, Development and Visions for the Future – Jan Reichelt
* Demonstration of Mendeley – Features and Functions – Jessica Reeves
16.00-16.30: Web archiving and historical research – an introduction to the UK web archive – Dr Peter Webster
16.30-17.00: Questions and Answers Session.

Please meet at the information desk in the main hall – you will need to put your coats and bags in the cloakroom and then you will be given a visitor pass and escorted to the meeting room.

Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
