Interactivity in Information Skills Training

This seminar will look at the reasons why using interactive teaching methods is a good idea and will also examine the possible pitfalls. Several different ideas for introducing interactivity will be discussed.
The session should be of interest to people who are new to Information Skills Training and also to those who, although experienced, would like some new ideas to add to their teaching sessions.

Emily Shields (Manchester Metropolitan University): Introduction to Interactivity.
Lisa Foggo (York University): Blogs and Interactive teaching.
Ruth Harrison (Imperial): Voting Handsets and Audience Interaction.

Venue: Dr Tee Lee Seng Seminar Room, Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU

Costs: £30 for cpd25 member institutions, £45 for others, including refreshments.
