In this one-day seminar marketing expert (and ex-librarian) Terry Kendrick will explain why libraries do need marketing and what an important tool it can be for clear communications to staff, users and other stakeholders both inside and outside the Library. A range of marketing ideas will be explored, ranging from traditional and contemporary marketing communication tools to guidance on how to create an effective promotional plan. There will also be a case study from the Library at UEL.

consistency, key messages, target audiences and tone etc)
14.15 – 15.15 Practical session: Write a promotional plan / using
marketing to help manage problem users

16.15 – 16.30 Discussion of key learning points from the day
