Networking event for Subject and Academic Liaison Librarians [Event Ref. No. TG5/SALL]

Event Type

This event is aimed at librarians who support academics and students and who have job titles that include words like Subject, Academic, Liaison, Faculty, Research … you know who you are.

How often do you get to meet other librarians working in your subject areas? How do you find out about best practice in other institutions? Have you ever wondered about other ways of supporting academics, researchers and students? Are you doing things you want to share with colleagues? Of just have a chance to step back and consider what your job is all about?

Come along to this networking event and hear a variety of speakers as well as have the opportunity to talk to colleagues and participate in themed discussions.

Agenda:

9:30: Registration with tea, coffee & biscuits

10:00: Introduction

The changing role of the subject librarian. David Clover, Senate House Library.

Discussion groups : Subject areas – Sharing experience

11:40: Break

Please note that there are limited places available for this event.

To book a place please use our online booking form or email the administrator via cpd25@lse.ac.uk

Cost: £95 for the first booking, and then £75 for subsequent bookings from the same library, for cpd25 members; £145 for the first booking, and then £125 for subsequent bookings from the same library, for other institutions.

Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
