OPAC’s: The Next Generation [Event Ref. No. TG5/OPAC]
There has been a lot of talk recently about whether LMS vendors are keeping up with changes in technology and the way users access information. One area where there have been some developments is the OPAC. This session looks at the add-on available for OPACs.
The morning session is aimed at all interested staff and has three of the main suppliers talking about their products – Aquabrowser, Primo and Summon.
The afternoon session is aimed at systems staff. We have lined up four systems teams who have real experience of setting up these systems. They will talk about their implementation experience. The 4th is VuFind – an open source product.
When booking please indicate which sessions you will be interested in attending in order of preference (Aquabrowser, Primo, Summon and VuFind). We will be running two parallel sessions.
Lunch is included whether booking morning only, afternoon only or all day.
