CPD25 – The Effective Meeting Participant 9.30am – 1.30pm. 13th December 2005 Facilitated by Glenor Roberts of LEVELheaded Aim To enable participants to be more effective when participating in meetings. Objectives By the end of the course you will be able to: • List the purposes of meetings • Describe an excellent meeting participant • Explain the meaning of key words and phrases frequently used in relation to meetings • Outline the role and responsibilities of specific people at the meeting – chair, clerk, treasurer • Read an agenda • Plan and prepare before a meeting Level For those with limited experience of attending meetings and no previous training. Approach Participants will be asked to take part in small and large group work to think through issues for themselves.
