This workshop aims to give delegates a greater understanding of the impact, challenges and opportunities digital literacies and scholarship are offering students, researchers and professionals alike. Our speakers will explore digital literacies, changing work skills and roles in the library sector, and CILIP’s role in offering professional development tools to keep abreast of these changes.
To add a playful element to the workshop, presentations will also question how the perceptions of librarians in the comic literature genre and superhero roles can raise discussions around how to renew positive images of library professionals in the 21st century.
Our speakers will explore digital literacy, changing work skills and roles in the library sector, CILIP’s role in offering professional development tools to keep abreast of these changes and the rise of digital scholarship and its challenges and opportunities for library professionals and their service users alike.
