Supervising and Managing Library Staff [Ref. TG1/ASPECTS1]
Sooner or later in your career it is likely that you will have to supervise or manage other library staff. This workshop is aimed at people taking their first steps in staff management, or who are interested in doing so. Drawing on their own considerable experience, Alison Charlesworth and Lucy Royle will cover the basics of supervision and line management and include sections on emotional intelligence, dealing with performance issues, managing change and leading small teams.
This workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme, aimed at library staff looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or those working towards CILIP Chartership.

This session takes place alongside cpd25 Aspects workshop ‘Current & Future Trends in Subject Librarianship’. If an individual books both sessions a 10% discount will be applied.
Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
