The Francis Crick Institute is a world-leading biomedical research institute, dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying health and disease. The institute does not have a physical library space as you would see in a university or many hospitals, instead it exists as a digital entity throughout the building. The researchers at the Crick are committed to advancing knowledge and innovating, and the library service’s dedication to these values is evident in the dynamic digital library services that are provided.

The visit will comprise of a presentation about the Francis Crick Institute and how the library service works and a short tour of the building, plus:

  • Gain insighes into our cutting-edge research facilities and inititiatives.
  • Explore how our digital library supports over 1000 researchers in accessing materials and facilitating the publication process.
  • Engage in discussions with our team about the evolving role of libraries in the digital age.
