The Guildhall Library is a public reference library specialising in the history of London, and holds a collection of over 200,000 titles dating from the 15th Century to the present day. All aspects of life in London are covered, including its people, trade and buildings.

Special collections include those devoted to Samuel Pepys, John Wilkes and Thomas More, as well as the libraries of the Gardeners’ and Fletchers’ Companies, the Antiquarian Horological Society, Gresham College, and the Charles Lamb Society.

The ‘treasures tour’ will include a short talk on the history of the library, a display of some of their ‘treasures’ and a short tour behind the scenes.
