The National Art Library is a public reference library for material relating to fine and decorative arts, as well as the art, craft and design of the book.

Subjects covered include prints, drawings and paintings, furniture and woodwork, textiles, costume, ceramics, glass, metalwork, sculpture, and information about individual artists. Types of material include rare books, unique items like Artists’ Books, and unusual items like auction house sale catalogues and other ephemera related to the art world.

We will have a behind-the-scenes tour around the library, which is housed within the V&A itself, and then view some treasures from the Special Collections.
