This visit will include a tour of the Library and Archive stores, and then a display of material from both collections in the Archive and Special Reading Room.

The Tate Library collection contains 250,000 published books and exhibition catalogues, covering British art from 1500 and International art from 1900. It also houses an extensive journal, ephemera and artist book collection.

The Tate Archive collection contains a wealth of unpublished material on British artists and organisations since 1900. Major collections within the Tate Archive include Francis Bacon, the Bloomsbury group and Barbara Hepworth.
