Visit to London Transport Museum Library[TG1v/LTM]
London Transport Museum holds a unique Library collection covering the past, present and future of public transport in London. We help people explore diverse topics from the personal and technical to the wider influence of transport on London’s social history, its architecture, art, and design.
Join us for an introduction to our library service, how we support the Museum and members of the public. We are based at the Museum’s collections store, the Museum Depot at Acton, and will take you on a tour of this treasure trove, as well as showing you our library stores and some special items from the Library collection.
Accessibility: We will meet and host part of the visit in our Holden Room where there is seating. For the tour we have plenty of portable folding seats and a wheelchair to lend out if needed.
Part of the tour will be on the first floor to which there is lift access.
Our two Library stores are quite cramped and one can only be accessed by two steps down into the room. We will try and ensure that all conversation can be heard and everyone gets a view but this view may be restricted.

Bookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.

If subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possible.
Cancellations received less than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, £25 will be charged.
Please note that advance booking is required. If you have not received a booking confirmation email, you won’t be included on the registration list and may be turned away on the day. Please email cpd25@london.ac.uk if you are unsure if you have a confirmed booking.
