Bidding for Project Funding

When

29/11/2005
11:59 pm

Event Type

Bidding for Projects
29th November 2004
Clore Management Centre, London

The focus for this event will be how to secure funds for projects rather than project management. The event is designed to help librarians familiarise themselves with the themes required in writing successful bids.

Delegates will be able to hear from other librarians’ experiences and to pose questions to representatives of funding bodies.

The morning session will feature two speakers who have been involved in preparing & making bids. It will be a case study approach; our speakers will concentrate on what makes a successful bid and the possible pitfalls. There will be a Q&A at the end of each presentation.

The afternoon session will look at the other side of the coin, with two speakers from funding bodies explaining what they can, and cannot, do and what makes a successful bid from their point of view. At the end of the presentations there will be ‘surgery sessions’ when speakers will be able to offer one-to-one advice on attendee’s particular bids.
