Current Trends in Academic Liaison [Event Ref. TG1/ASPECTS]
This workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme, aimed at library staff looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or staff working towards Chartership.
Academic liaison remains a core part of what HE libraries do. Traditionally carried out by ‘subject librarians’, it is the art of building relationships and links with academic colleagues in order to ensure that the library’s services and resources best support the university’s teaching and research. In this workshop, Claire Packham from City, University of London, will survey the current landscape and talk about the knowledge and skills that are required to liaise effectively in the twenty-first century library.
