Aim
To enable participants to work with their time, other people’s time and office systems more effectively to achieve individual and team objectives.

Level
This course assumes no previous knowledge of time management theory and practice or training in managing paper. However this session is aimed at para-professional staff.

Objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:

Prioritise effectively

Set and receive SMART goals and plan to achieve them

Use your diary as a planning tool

Identify and handle some situations that use time poorly, in particular around meetings, use of e-mail, saying no to requests from others, interruptions and desk management

Identify how your approach to your work may impact on your time management practices

Approach
The trainer will encourage participants to reflect on existing approaches to identify what is working well and what could be working more effectively. The trainer will introduce participants to additional techniques, participants will be asked to think through how they can apply them to their own situation, raise questions, challenges and additional issues.

Cost is £100 for CPD25 members, £150 for M25 affiliate members and £200 for other institutions, including breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

Please note that there are 12 places available for this event, which will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Bookings will close on the 28th October 2004 and any cancellations after that date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a “no show??? on the day 100% cancellation charges will apply.
