Giving effective feedback and managing difficult conversations are key performance management skills that many find challenging. This workshop, facilitated by LEVELheaded, will explore why these skills are so important, how to improve them and provide a practical toolkit of techniques for managers and supervisors to take back to the work place.
Programme:
9.00-9.30: Registration and coffee
9.30-9.45: Introduction
9.45-10.25: Session 1- Feedback principles: What is feedback for, why should you bother and what happens if you don’t give it?
10.25-11.05: Session 2 – Difficult conversations: What makes them difficult? How to prepare and how to keep the conversation on track
11.05-11.20: Coffee
11.20-12.00: Session 3 – A 3 step model of feedback.
12.00-12.40: Session 4 – Practice your difficult conversation in a safe environment
12.40-1.00: Action planning and end comments.
