Online Reading Lists
cpd25 – Online Reading Lists
Senate House Library
Thursday April 27th 2006
1.30 – 5pm
Championed as a means of facilitating greater access to print and electronic collections for students, and also as a crucial administrative tool for library collection development, online reading list systems seem an obvious service for academic libraries to be offering. So much so, that many HE and FE institutions have already begun to implement services using a range of softwares. However, introducing and expanding an online reading list service within an institution poses many challenges. This event will give an overview of a variety of approaches to implementing and, importantly, maintaining an online reading list service.
This event will be of interest to information professionals, subject librarians and any one involved in taught course support.
