Privacy and Surveillance [Event Ref. TG1/ASPECTS]
This workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme, aimed at library staff looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or staff working towards Chartership. CILIP’s ethical principles require members to show “respect for confidentiality and privacy in dealing with information users”. This workshop will explore some of the issues around privacy and confidentiality and highlight some of the key tools available to protect user privacy.
