Staff Development Forum I [Event Ref. No. TG1/SDF1]
This afternoon seminar will benefit staff development officers and other staff who are involved with programming staff training, providing an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues.
Three presentations on topics of current interest will be followed by an informal group discussion session, allowing delegates to come together and share ideas on various issues relating to staff development.
Programme:
1.00 – 2.00: Arrival, registration and buffet lunch
2.00 – 2.05: Welcome and introduction
2.05 – 2.30: Peter Williams, University of East London, will talk about training library staff at UEL to provide IT support
2.30 – 2.55: Martin Carbonell, Kingston University, will talk about integrated support for student enquiries at Kingston
2.55 – 3.20: Ruth Murphy, King’s College London, will present a case study on introducing a training hour at King’s
3.20 – 4.05: Breakout discussion session with coffee/tea and biscuits
4.05 – 4.15: (approximately) Close.

Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
