Job Shadowing: making use of an experiential staff development tool

This year’s SDO morning will be devoted to the issue of implementing job shadowing schemes in libraries and their potential use as a staff development tool. Taking the session will be Sue Roberts, Head of Learning Services at Edge Hill College of HE. She will present a case study of their own experiences, run through some of the transferable principles, and look at some of the benefits to the shadow and the host. There will also be an opportunity for discussions on how job shadowing might work in delegates’ institutions.

Cost is £35 for CPD25 members, £45 for M25 affiliate members and £55 for other institutions, including lunch and refreshments.
