Reading lists systems challenge or opportunity?

Academic libraries have engaged with reading list systems for a number of years with new suppliers coming onto the market, highlighting growth in this lucrative industry. As universities continue to compete for student numbers, academic libraries’ adoption of reading list systems have been seen as a way of helping to recruit students, but also engage and retain them whilst studying, and also helping to improve low NSS scores. For libraries themselves, they have been able to use online reading lists to make acquisitions processes more efficient and more responsive to student needs.

In this event we will look at how academic libraries have engaged with academic staff to partner with using online reading lists and how academic libraries have used it to improve their acquisitions processes.
