Visit to Senate House Library[TG2&4v/Senate]
Located at Senate House in Bloomsbury, Senate House Library is the central library for the University of London and the School of Advanced Study. Senate House Library is one of the UK’s largest academic libraries for arts, humanities and social sciences, with a wealth of primary source material ranging from medieval times to the modern age.
The Library occupies the 4th to the 19th floors of the building with floors 4 to 7 being public areas. The collection comprises over 2 million books, over 1,800 manuscripts / archival collections and 50 special collections including the Harry Price Library of Magical Literature, Heisler Collection, Francis Bacon Society Library, Durning-Lawrence Library, Haud Nominandum collection.

Bookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.

If subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possible.
Cancellations received less than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, £25 will be charged.
Please note that advance booking is required. If you have not received a booking confirmation email, you won’t be included on the registration list and may be turned away on the day. Please email cpd25@london.ac.uk if you are unsure if you have a confirmed booking.
