Visit to the Museum of the Home Library[TG2v/MoH] – VISIT NOW FULL

The library collections at the Museum of the Home have been continually developed by the curatorial team over the years and form a unique body of evidence for the study of home across a range of disciplines – spanning social and economic history, geographies of home, material culture, social anthropology, decorative arts, art and design history and architecture. The collections extend to primary material such as diaries, decorating and furnishing advice manuals and household inventories, as well as retail and trade catalogues. The Collections Library, built as part of the capital development project from 2018-2021, and its associated stores house the majority of the library collection of over 6,000 volumes and have made them fully accessible to users for the first time in the history of the Museum.
The visit will include:
- Introduction to the Collections Library, history of the collections, and library operations
- Highlights from the special collections and some museum objects
Attendees are welcome to view the newly opened Real Rooms displays and other galleries at the end of the visit.

If subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possible.
Cancellations received less than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, £25 will be charged.
