*THIS VISIT IS NOW FULL AND A WAITING LIST IS AVAILABLE*
cpd25 is delighted to offer a professional development visit to the National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum — one of the world’s foremost libraries dedicated to art, design, and visual culture.
This visit will provide participants with a unique opportunity to learn more about the National Art Library’s collections, services, and behind-the-scenes operations. The session will begin with a public talk led by library staff, followed by a short introduction to the library’s collections and service provision, and a guided tour of the library stores, which are not normally accessible to the public.
The visit is designed for library and information professionals interested in art libraries, special collections, collection management, and research support in a museum context, and will offer valuable insight into how a national museum library supports scholarship, exhibitions, and public engagement.
Schedule:
· Talk: 2:00–2:30 pm
· Introduction to collections and services: 2:30–2:50 pm
· Library stores tour: 2:50–3:30 pm
Bookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.
