This session will include a 20-30 minute introduction to Wellcome Collection, including its history and holdings, as well as information on how to become a member of the library. This will be followed by a tour of the Open Shelf collection, which features printed and published material dated post-1900.

Within the library itself: 

  • There is a lift between floors 
  • Silent study space 
  • Fairly bright lighting 
  • Sensory equipment such as headphones, sunglasses, weighted blankets and fidget toys available for visitors to borrow if needed 

 

Bookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.

To book a place, please use our online booking form for M25 Members and enter ‘n/a’ in the purchase order field.

If subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possible.

Cancellations received less than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, £25 will be charged.

 

Please note that advance booking is required. If you have not received a booking confirmation email, you won’t be included on the registration list and may be turned away on the day. Please email cpd25@london.ac.uk if you are unsure if you have a confirmed booking.
