A brief introduction to the exhibition by Jasmine Pierre, Exhibitions Manager, with time to look at the exhibition. Introduction to the library collection and library public programme by Yamuna Ravindran, Research and Access Librarian, with time to look at the collection.

Drawing Room is the place to discover drawing. Located in southeast London, our not-for-profit organisation features a gallery presenting inspiring free exhibitions of drawings, by artists of international standing and emerging promise. We have a unique open access research library, holding one of the largest collections of titles on contemporary drawing in the world, and a shop stocking selected books, drawing materials and artists’ editions. Our dynamic learning programme makes contemporary drawing relevant and accessible to our communities, encouraging self-expression through hands on making, in our dedicated Community Studio and throughout our local area.

Accessibility: Access to the Gallery, Library, Shop and Toilets are all step free and we have power assisted doors throughout our public spaces. Our staff are available to help with accessibility around the building where needed. We have accessible toilets with baby changing facilities, including a wipe clean changing mat.

You can borrow a manual wheelchair from us during your visit free of charge – just ask at reception or contact us in advance if you would like to reserve a wheelchair: rebecca@drawingroom.org.uk

Sometimes visitors need to queue while waiting for an event, for example, when the exhibition is at capacity. If queuing is not accessible for you, please speak to a member of staff and we can make alternative arrangements with you.

Fixed seating is located throughout all spaces. Portable folding stools are also available and can be moved between any of our spaces.

Bookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.

To book a place, please use our online booking form for M25 Members.

If subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possible.
