Cataloguing with confidence [TG1/cataloguing]
CPD25 are pleased to announce a cataloguing workshop where attendees will learn about the theory underpinning current cataloguing standards (AACR2, MARC21, RDA) and gain practical knowledge in cataloguing. The focus will be on developing your cataloguing skills with practical, hands-on sessions using hard copy print books.
The workshop is aimed at those with a basic knowledge or some prior experience of cataloguing, who want to develop their knowledge of RDA, AACR2, MARC fields and practical cataloguing in general. This session will provide attendees with the necessary resources and rules to catalogue books confidently in their workplace.
This will be a full-day face-to-face event, held at the British Library in central London. Attendees may find it beneficial for some parts of the practical activities to bring their own internet-enabled device but it is not essential.
